Do you want to see ABC TV show Lost spoilers? Of course you can watch the pre episode teasers and consider those spoilers but they aren't the real spoilers. The proper way to be spoilt is to read some of the best Lost theories.

We all know the Timelooptheory and sure that is one of the best Lost theories out there. ( especially because this Jason dude who invented this theory already did this a few years ago, long before most of us even thought of time travel)
But there are some other sources that provide the most intelligent, erudite theories for separate Lost episodes. I am talking about Bigmouth and Jeff Jensen.

The Lost TV show is the best show I have ever seen and Season 5 is great but in my opinion you have to read theories in order to enjoy the tv show fully. You just miss most of all the cool stuff that's inside the ABC show. Almost everything is a clue or a reference to another tv series, book, historical event and so on.

Which book on Lost backgrounds is the best? I am searching for the most comprehensive book. There are a few on Amazon. But the lot isn't what I am searching for. The book must be of the same quality as that of the best Lost theorie bloggers. I will update this post this week. An overview of the best books on philosophical and other great insights on Lost.

Well, all of the books are from 2006 or 2007. Furthermore are the reviews not very forgiving. I will keep my eyes open for recently published books on Lost. For now I'll stick with the blogs and theories on forums.

ABC Lost spoilers

So you enjoy ABC's Lost. Of course otherwise you wouldn't visit this blog. I think it is the best TV series ever. Many viewers are with me here I guess. But not so many viewers know how deep Lost goes. When talking about Lost spoilers they think about a short video or a teaser on ABC.

But the real Lost spoilers are the fantastic backgrounds on Lost. They can be found in the best Lost theories and on Lost blogs like EyeMSick.
Another great source of Lost backgrounds is the book: Lost and Philosophy: The Island Has Its Reasons (The Blackwell Philosophy and Pop Culture Series)by Sharon M. Kaye.

Only when reading Lost theories online I think you get a sense of how intelligently Lost is put together. I don't mean that it's a shame if you don't. It's just that I am so enthusiastic about Lost and the many deeper meanings, references and backgrounds that are produced by fans.

Must admit I had never thought about this but what if 'him' isn't Aaron and with raising isn't meant bringing up but to raise from the death. Yes, we're talking about John Locke! I just read this on one of Jeff Jensen's columns on EW.com. Another great Lost season 5 theory!!. I love this stuff.

Where to read the best theories on Lost season 5?

I was asked recently; where do you go online when you want to read the most intelligent backgrounds and theories after seeing the first two episodes of the new season of Lost? I know it can be pretty hard to find the gems if you don't know how or where to search.

My favorite spots to read Lost Season 5 theories.
After watching the newest Lost episode I first take a break to let all the new stuff settle down in my head. After that I'll visit the EYEMSICK blog and Doc Jensen's columns on EW.com.
If my head isn't spinning by then, something must be wrong.

I must admit that, although I have downloaded the first 2 episodes immediately when they were available, I haven't seen them yet. I am watching the third season at the moment to be even more in the mood for the start of S5. When you were looking for Lost theories visit my Best Lost Theories Squidoo page. I dug up a cool site with a lot of Lost Season 5 hints. Hint 10 is about the death of one of the 815 survivors. According to Buddytv.com : "Lost always has a habit of killing of beloved characters, and the season 5 première is no different. During the first two hours, an important character that we’ve seen many times before will die."

Hot news about Jin and Claire!

Jin will be back this season (5) and we will see Claire again in the next (and last) season. This doesn't automatically conclude that Jin is alive because of the different timelines.
We won't see much of Claire this season but we will see more of her because her story is not over according to executive producer Carlton Cuse.
Now I'm only wondering when will they tell us more about Charlie. Charlie lives! I am convinced about that.

Lost's Sayid, Locke and Hurley Billboards

JCDecaux Billboards with Sayid Locke and Locke spotted in London and Glasgow. It seems there are also billboards with Hurley. If you read carefully you'll see it says start of season 5 at 25 January but the first starting date is in the US and is on January the 21 on ABC.

I have to work out my last post about the meaning of Lost (according to Jeff Jensen) and Damien Hirst's For The Love of God. I think there is an interesting link to those two subjects.

What has Damien Hirst's 50 million pound costing diamond skull have to do with the meaning of ABC's popular TV show Lost? Well at first you might think nothing at all.

Well if you have read Doc Jensens Post about the meaning of Lost. ( The link is in my last post, will implement it here later) you probably know that Lost can be seen as a complaint against our modern, consumer society. Many of us Losties ask ourselves, what is the meaning of all the things that happen in Lost. While in or real lives we probably never ask ourselves this question. Jensen compares Lost with the Bible. Not only are there many references in the TV show to the bible. But also are they both media with stories and happening that summon many questions and thus theories and interpretations originate. It's all about interpretations or perception if you like. It's about how you see it, is the glass half full or empty? Given the circumstances, what do you make out of it.

Back to the glittering skull. If I look at it I see death and I see consuming. Think about the MTV bling bling, the pimp my whateveryoulike, think about the Swarovski stones that have to be put on everything nowadays. So death and consumerism. Do they correlate to each other? I think Hirst wants to criticize our modern consuming society.

The meaning of Lost & For the Love of God.

Ever heard of Jeff Jensen's Lost mythology theory ?I have added a link to it on my Best Lost Theories
Squidoo lens. Of course there is a link to it right here but the reason I have added it on my lens is because of the sake of completeness.

Doc Jensen writes much very intelligent posts on EW.com but my problem is I happen to get lost on this site every time I get there. Maybe I am just looking in the wrong way but it seems there is no good search feature or a simple overview of the Lost theories and other ramblings of this great Lost commenter.

But to stay on topic. Only the best overall theories apply on the best lost theories lens. And Jensen's mythology theory surely does. It is a great overall theory about the meaning of Lost. Why many names of the characters like e.g. Desmond Hume, Rousseau, John Locke refer to famous philosophers of the Enlightenment age. To summarize and put it very simple; according to Jensen, Lost is a complaint to modern society. We all ask ourselves what's the meaning of all the mysteries in Lost while we never ask ourself what the meaning is of the life we live.

Actually while writing that this moment it makes me think of Damian Hirst's christal skull. You know what I mean, the real sized human platinum skull covered with about 8,500 diamonds that's worth about £50 million. Hirst says: "I just want to celebrate life by saying to hell with death." But that piece of art that makes us think (at least some of us) about our society as we know it. To me it also feels like a complaint to society. Capitalism and consumerism are the greatest goods. More is better. So it seems. But where will it all end? Will the system eventually become our perdition? Will this be the price we pay for the life we life?

Do you know what's going on on Lost? Are you a fan of this fantastic ABC TV show? Do you think you have read the best theories on the net? I do. But I want to know more. I am curious about what you think about all this.

The purpose of me blogging here is to let this place become a tool into my search for the best lost theory. Actually I am searching for more than one best theories. That is because there are a few really outstanding theories out there that, when bundled together, give us lots of excellent answers to questions regarding the Lost TV show.

I do not believe there is one theory that evaluates all of the Lost mysteries. We all know the Timelooptheory for example. (If you don't know this theory you'd better read it right now Lostie!) This is a very good theory about time travelling, different time loops, time lines and more. But everything in this theory concerns the subject of travelling, whether or not physical or mental, in time.

That leaves much questions unanswered. For example about the Egyptian hieroglyphs, the Dharma stations, polar bears on a tropical island and so I could go on for at least a page or two. That's why some of the other well crafted theories are so unbelievable interesting. In my previous posts I have mentioned the SD Wynn theories and this really great blog, the eye m sick blog.

Crawling through the different Lost forums doesn't result in adding much more theories to my personal top 5 or so. And that's what I want to ask you guys. I want to make a top 5 or maybe top 10 of the all time, really awesome, most intelligent and excellent, astounding theories on the Lost TV show. The Squidoo lens I have created is a good place to discuss the various theories that might be worthy called Best Lost theory ever. I really mean serious theories. So let's not dig into already debunked theories or other hypotheses that just don't make any sense. Time travel it is!

Ok I admit. My last post is crap. I am totally wrong. Of course Lost is about time travel. It is obvious. The Timelooptheory is probably very close to the idea's the Lost writers have about the show. But I still want to know more about the other mysteries.
That's why I stick with my opinion that the 3 theories of SD Wynn are awesome. They don't contradict the idea of time travel. It's just that those theories adress some other interesting mysteries. For example about the blast doors, the hieroglyphs, mythological aspects of Lost and much more.

The Best LOST THEORY on the net

Actually this blog is not only about the best LOST theories but also about answers. Which answers will we get? How much do we know already? Are we, the writers of some of the theories and their believers, at the right track? Which theory is closest to what LOST is really about?

Are you also one of those people who think the Timelooptheory is the best LOST theory on the net? Think again. You are wrong and I will tell you why.

When you are a fan of the ABC tv series and have read some theories you probably know of the Timelooptheory. It is great. No actually it's better then great, it is fantastic. I have made a top three of the best LOST theories around on another blog and the Timelooptheory is on number one. That was a mistake. I will change my top 3 as soon as I have the time for it. I will tell you why the Timelooptheory is not the best LOST hypothesis I have ever read.

At first I want you to know that I am a Lost addict. I have seen each episode at least two times and have spent hundreds of hours on forums and other websites reading all kinds of theories. I find it amazing what some people have come up with, unraveling the Lost mysteries. They show very interesting points of view and lots of knowledge about various topics like quantum mechanics, philosophy, behavioral psychology, religion and ancient cultures. Allthough many of those theories are probably not even close to what's really going on in the popular ABC tv show, they nevertheless are fun to read. Just the fact that people think about that much different anwers to the questions that we are asking ourselves is already amusing. Furthermore I have to say that the writer of the Timelooptheory (Jason Hunter) doesn't suggest that he has an answer to the mysteries of the tv series. I quote: “most of this theory is complete conjecture and I make no claim that this theory is the definitive "answer" to the show it should be read for entertainment purposes only.”

Like I said I like the Timelooptheory very much. It is all about time travel and how going back in time explains some of the LOST mysteries. It is put very well together and gives you lots of things to think about. I have to admit that for a certain period of time I really thought this is what the creators of LOST had in mind. But here are a few things to consider.

This theory doesn't give answers to much of the other mysteries. I know he is the first person to admit that his theory is not the definitive answer but what about the hieroglyphs, the four toed statue, the numbers, the other Dharma stations and many more mysteries?

Besides that, and this is probably even more important is the fact that there is the interview with the LOST creators in wich they have said that there are no spaceships or there is no time travel involved. If that is true and I assume they don't lie to us at least not about such a trivial thing, this theory is indeed for entertainment purposes only and that's its. No more, no less. Check wikipedia out for more discredited theories .

Then we also have the statement of ABC's President of Entertainment Stephen Mc Pherson has anounced that the end of Lost in 2010 will be a "highly anticipated and shocking finale." How can that finale be shocking if a 2007 theory has already given the answer to one of the major mysteries of the show?

There are two seasons ahead of us before the grand finale in 2010. I have great respect for the writers of this fabulous tv series. Are they putting us on a wrong track again?
They have pulled this on us many times. What? That's what LOST is all about. Finally when you think you have figured something out it seems to be nothing like that. It then turns out to be all the other way round. So it must be different. It can't be that a theory already invented in 2007 explains one of the mayor questions the LOST viewers are struggeling with.

I know it is easy for me to say. I haven't written a theory of my own. I just don't know just like everybody else. But there is another theory which I now think is the ultimate theory. It is best theory in my opinion. Actually it is not one theory but it consists of three separate blog posts from the same author. I thought they were difficult to find. Thats why I link to them on this blog. I would really want to know what you think of these theories.
